Anchored in Joy
Anchored in Joy fosters positive mental health through connection, creativity, and belonging delivered through four programs.
Cupid Crew
The Cupid Crew is made up of volunteers of family, friends, students, and stragers who come together every year to create hundreds of Valentine's Day cards for Rhode Island senior citizens. To date over 1,000 cards have fostered joyful intergenerational connections and reduced loneliness for both the creators and recipeints.

Joyful Movement
Upwards of 100 children have benifited from movement and fun in Irish dance workshops within the community at schools, libraries, and community events. The joy of dance has been shared with hundreds of seniors within senior living communities. Whether Irish dance or another form, joyful movement is essential to our physical and mental well being.

Kindness Workshops
Molly has been invited to speak in dozens of classrooms across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts to share her message of kindness thorugh her books. Sharing a message of kindness and it's importance in combatting bullying is helping the next generation of young people to be upstanders within their own stories.

Kaleidoscope Book Program
An avid reader and author of two children's books, Molly understands the importance of having access to diverse literature. She is committed to helping all children find a book in which they can not only see themselves represented, but their families, friends, and community. To date she has collected and donated over 500 books to Rhode Island children through classroom libraries and her annual Halloween Booktacular events. She hopes that seeing themselves and families represented in stories helps build self-confidence, self- love, and joy and by reading about characters who may be different from ourselves, it can promote empathy and understanding leading to a kinder world.
Our Team
We are currently in the process of obtaining non-profit 501c3 status to help Anchored in Joy continue it's mission to spread the message of kindness, ensure every child has their own book in which to see themselves, and encourage connection across the generations.
Molly is assisted in running the day to day communication and media by her mom, Kristin, and the business portion of the service project by her dad, Steve.
Additioanlly, we wouldn't be able to exist without the amazing support of our comunity members who so generously donate cards throughout the year.
